“Project Night Night is dedicated to providing children with the physical goods they need to be safe, secure, and ready to learn,” said Kendra Stitt Robins, Founder and Executive Director of Project Night Night. “We rely on the community to help us further the cause of caring for the children of the homeless community and we’re delighted that Mr. Cain, Mrs. Sabean, Mrs. Bochy and other family members of the San Francisco Giants have partnered with us to help us provide our Night Night Packages to more than 25,000 homeless children this year.” Amanda Sabean, wife of San Francisco Giants General Manager Brian Sabean, found out about Project Night Night while searching for local charities to support. She was so inspired and moved by the organization that it was very easy to convince her fellow SF Giants wives and their families to get involved. In addition to Mrs. Sabean, Kim Bochy, wife of San Francisco Giants Manager Bruce Bochy, Aimee Groeschner, wife of head athletic trainer Dave Groeschner, Pitcher Matt Cain and his wife Chelsea, and Ashley Fontenot, wife of infielder Mike Fontenot delivered the Night Night Packages. “Project Night Night offers a valuable service to the community by ensuring that homeless children are made to feel valued and comfortable during their homelessness,” Project Night Night is an innovative not-for-profit organization that annually equips 25,000 homeless children across the country with the basic nighttime essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn and valued. While meeting the immediate needs of disadvantaged children, Project Night Night also sets a foundation for lasting change by providing meaningful, hands-on volunteer opportunities to thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations each year.
