Gov. Rick Scott has confirmed his plan to participate the CEO Roundtable, which is part of the upcoming ACG Capital Connection® conference to be held on November 16-17 at The Ritz Carlton – Key Biscayne in Key Biscayne (Miami), Florida.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida. August 22, 2011.  Rob Brighton, Chair of the 2011 Florida ACG Capital Connection®, announced today that Gov. Rick Scott has confirmed his plan to attend the CEO Roundtable, which is part of the upcoming conference to be held on November 16th and 17th at The Ritz Carlton – Key Biscayne in Key Biscayne (Miami), Florida.

Mr. Brighton, a corporate partner with Shutts & Bowen LLP, located in its Fort Lauderdale office, stated that the conference was honored and pleased that the Governor will attend.   “The principal focus of the 2011 Florida ACG Capital Connection® is driving growth in the Florida business community, including initiatives to bring in additional sources of capital to foster business growth and job creation, themes that Gov. Scott has also promoted,” noted Mr. Brighton, pointing to the CEO Roundtable and the reception for Florida’s emerging growth companies as forums for exploring these themes.

Mr. Brighton advised that: “The purpose of the conference is to foster middle-market business growth, whether through acquisitions or organically.  The Florida ACG Capital Connection® conferences have a tremendous track record of nurturing deals and beneficial alliances for growth.”  

According to Mr. Brighton, attendees at the 2011 Conference will have many opportunities for deal making ranging from the conference’s signature Private Equity Marketplace and Deal Showcase to networking at a variety of receptions, breakout sessions and other events, including a scramble golf tournament at the Crandon-Key Biscayne, a VIP/sponsor reception on South Beach and a closing reception featuring former college All-American and NBA great, Alonzo Mourning.
