According to Aumiller, the reason why it took six days for parents to be notified was due to the district first needing to find out the extent of the mold, institute a cleaning plan and determine if school would start on time next week.    

“Aumiller said although the reconstruction work will not be completed by the start of school, affected rooms will be safe and functional and all reconstruction work such as painting and last minute cleaning will take place during non-student attendance hours including nights and weekends.”
