Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- New Orleans residents are still knee deep in trouble. The Katrina destructive flood has left them with another problem-mold infestation. At least 45,000 abandoned houses are now invaded by spores, posing health threats to the populace.

Apart from the infestation of mold, New Orleans officials and some citizens alike are also worried that other residents in the state are resorting to bleach to kill the mold. Although it is believed that bleach can effectively kill mold, it doesn't actually get rid of the spores.
Moreover,  the chemicals in it damage the environment

In the hope of helping New Orleans of their dilemmas, IGotMold.net suggests the use of Molderizer. The site, assures the users that the product is effective in removing mold and yet eco friendly and safe.

“ The Katrina catastrophic flood may have subsided, but New Orleans residents still feel hunted. This time, by mold.

Mold is a common household problem brought by water or moisture. It is a potential health hazard that can adversely affect people in different ways. In New Orleans, 45, 000 abandoned structures are already infested with mold.

Although many of the facilities in the Canjun State have gone through series of mold remediation, still there is quite a number that is left untreated. Because hiring professional mold specialists cost’s money, many have turned to bleach to kill molds. However, the use of  bleach is not a good remedy to any mold problem. After the spraying, it may seem to kill the mold but the truth is that the spores are still present.  “

“Buildings with bathtub rings and musty smells are less prevalent than in the first year or two after Katrina, but mold remains a menace in New Orleans -- which contains 45,000 abandoned structures. Pollen-like spores from mold can be health hazards when they spread.”

“Koppel said "I worry more about drive-by shootings and swallowing friable asbestos than about mold." He's among those who advocate something other than regular bleach to address mold, saying "bleach only kills the flora, making mold seem to disappear, but it's still present." In his own buildings, Koppel relies on Clorox Outdoor Bleach Cleaner, which The Clorox Company says is a thicker formula than regular bleach.”

“Claudette Reichel, professor and extension housing specialist at Louisiana State University AgCenter in Baton Rouge, gave her advice on getting rid of mold. "Bleach can kill mold but that isn't a substitute for mold removal," she said. Dead mold doesn't reproduce, but is as hazardous as live mold -- triggering asthma and allergic reactions and causing other health effects. She said it's important to remove mold completely. She cautioned that bleach can pose health and safety hazards to users, and has no residual or lasting impact on mold. But she said bleach can be a way to kill any lingering mold that remains after removal work.”
