Saskatchewan Family Appears on 2 hour Documentary celebrating lives of Canadians

Mompreneur from Saskatchewan keeps busy since making a deal on Dragons' Den

Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- On February 2, 2011 the Rokochy family from Swift Current , appeared on CBC hit TV show Dragons’ Den and got a deal with W. Brett Wilson for $25 000.00 for 25% of their fledgling company. Since then life has been a whirlwind.  Corla Rokochy, owner of Snappy Socks, has had the pleasure of attending the Premier’s supper as a guest of Mr. Wilson who emceed the event, was invited along with her husband Patrick to Brett’s home in Calgary for a fundraiser which raised over $300 thousand in one night for an anti-bullying campaign called Dare to Care, attended the Power of Women Conference in Vancouver with speakers that included, Marlee Matlin, Susan Somers, and Ellen DeGeneres and in September will fly with her business Partner Brett to Mexico to build homes for underprivileged families.  While in Calgary for the fundraiser,  Corla and her husband Patrick also filmed an update for the next season of Dragons’ Den.  Their Snappy Socks are in 40 stores Nationwide.
Most recently on August 21st the family appeared on a Nationwide documentary produced by the CBC.  It was a contest for everyday families to submit a video of what was happening in their life on April 30th.  The family sat down last night to see the final version of the film along with the rest of Canada.  Their footage was shown five times each time with the caption, “Swift Current, Sask” appearing on the bottom of the screen and the very last scene of the two hour movie is Patrick tucking in 2 year old Ellie.  Her saying, “Good Night.  I Love you!”

But 1 Day will also draw on videos and photos sent in by Canadians who seize this unique opportunity to provide a glimpse into their lives, their families, their communities.
About W. Brett Wilson (born on July 1, 1957) is a Canadian entrepreneur, member of the Order of Canada, philanthropist and the lead deal making panellist or "Dragon" of all-time on CBC's Gemini Award-winning Dragons' Den. Wilson was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Wilson was appointed to the Order of Canada on June 30, 201.  His new TV show Risky business will Premieres Monday, September 12 at 9pm ET on the Slice Network.
