Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Mobile.  Sher Graham of the Institute for Sustainability Education & Development (ISED) and CeCe Redmond of Cece Redmond, Inc. will present “What Funders Want: Writing Winning Proposals” at Project Connect Consortium August meeting on Tuesday, August 23 from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the International Trade Club, Killian Room (1st floor), 250 North Water Street, Mobile, Alabama.  The meeting will focus on what funders want from grant proposal submissions for government and private funding sources.
The meeting is free to all nonprofit organizations, businesses or interested individuals across the Gulf Coast region.

The goal of the consortium is    to strengthen the nonprofit community connection throughout the
Gulf Coast region by embracing our organizational assets and our ability to adapt to change related to our communities, regardless of critical incident or crisis.

Our meeting objectives are to embrace the nonprofit community by building personal relationships with each other so that we may form collaborations and partnerships to serve our communities, wherever they may be or wherever support is needed; to discover how change impacts organizations during a crisis; to provide real-time information related to critical incidents; to provide knowledge and education about issues related to nonprofit management and leadership development, so that community leaders will be empowered to make
positive choices in guiding their entity into a sustainable future; and, to know that “we are not alone” in our journey to serve others.

For more information about the consortium and how you can get involved, contact Carolyn Thompson, (228) 623-0017 or carolyn@tricoastalcommunity.org.
