This years event is being held on Saturday 15th October 2011.
With the long term goal of promoting healthy active lifestyles by encouraging individuals, families, friends and clubs to enjoy the great outdoors, GACO will coordinate a one night 'camp-out' across the country with the aim of introducing people to the fun and adventure of camping out.
So, camp in your backyard, on a river bank, Caravan Park, on a farm, in one of the hundreds of National Parks, at a residential camp or caravan park, sleep under the stars, grab a Barbie, organise some games and get away fromyour normal weekend routine.
No camp site is too big or small to spend the night camping out and just having fun with family and friends.
We may even break the Guinness Book of Records for the most people camped out for a night!
