Chatsworth Hills Academy To Host Twitter Chat about Preschool Readiness

Aug. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Everyone knows the three R’s of education: reading, writing and ‘rithmetic. But the fourth R, readiness, may be the most important as well as the most elusive. Parents and caregivers of young children are invited for a Q&A on the ABCs of preschool readiness, Thursday, August 25th from 7-9 p.m. PST on Twitter #preschoolready.

Ann Gillinger and Paulette Collins, respectively Head of School and Director of Early Childhood at Chatsworth Hills Academy (CHA), will join Jaimie Reimer, author of the popular blog Hands on: as we grow, who will be moderating the chat, to answer questions on key topics including knowing the signs that your child is ready for preschool, what to look for in a preschool program and how to prepare for the first day and beyond.

“For children to become lifetime learners, it’s essential for them to enjoy their educational journey. Preschool is the first step and their experience during these early years sets the tone,” said Collins. “We want to give parents the tools they need to get their children off to a positive start.”
