Beyond The Music Label Series - San Francisco 2011 Finale To Be Judged By Broke Ass Stuart

Aug. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Beyond The Music Label® Series was started by INDIE VIXENS and is a music band alliance showcase designed to "bridge the gap" between creativity and business.   For the past year, three to four bands have performed monthly at the "Boom Boom Room" in San Francisco's Fillmore district.  Each band has had the opportunity to have their music heard and critiqued by music, branding and business professionals from various industries.

Bands who have won throughout  2010 and 2011 will showcase their music on August 18, 2011 in front of fans, talent,  brand managers and music professionals for a chance to win the “Beyond The Music Label Series Band Of The Year” title.  Judges for the evening include founders and management from:  JE Model, IDC Licensing, 360 Fashion Network, Stuart Schuffman aka "Broke Ass Stuart" from the IFC show "Young, Broke & Beautiful," and Production House "Make Your Hit." Beyond The Music Label Series - SF finale winners and performers include: DjjAck Izback, Luna J, Yalpine, Interchangeable Hearts, Semaj, Weapons Of The Future, Volary,  and Noble Savages.  Bands have an opportunity to raise funds for expenses, and for Beyond The Music Label Series' local nonprofit partner, the Blue Bear School Of Music on August 18, 2011 during the finale. The winning band will earn an opportunity to perform at The Mezzanine on August 20, 2011 during a tech/music showcase event with business partners Planet LA Records, iBand, IDC, Commerce Social and others while also raising funds for the Fender Foundation.  The winning band of the finale will also win a business development technology package valued at over $7000.


About Stuart Schuffman:
Stuart Schuffman is a writer/blogger (AKA Broke-Ass Stuart) with a travel TV show. Young, Broke, and Beautiful airs on IFC on Fridays. The half-hour travel show "targets alternative culture enthusiasts" and is set to air in June. Schuffman, a UC Santa Cruz gradate, started Broke-Ass Stuart, a site devoted to living on the cheap, here in San Francisco. He has since expanded it to New York City.
