Long Island Video Company Gives Back and Creates Awareness

Aug. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Long Island video companies like DrakonStudio may give back to the community in different ways. DrakonStudio believes it's important to give back with the same level of importance as it serves its customers.

Two weeks ago DrakonStudio provided its production services to help bring awareness to how important and simple registering to be a bone marrow donor can be. The Miller Place Firehouse was filled with hundreds of people at the Do it for Dona! event. They came to offer their strength and support to Dona Marzigliano Brannigan as she battles leukemia.

"When we were asked to be apart of the event to create a documentary that showcases the important of becoming a bone marrow donor, we didn't hesitate," said Linah Rhinehart, DrakonStudio's project director. "Many people don't know that being added to the bone marrow donor registry is a simple process, and we wanted to be a part of creating awareness for the widest audience we possibly could."

"We were inspired by the number of people that showed up from all over the country to add their name to the list. It truly was a beautiful feeling to see the community rally together," added Ms. Rhinehart.

As an established Long Island video production company, DrakonStudio donated its services to the Do it for Dona! campaign to give back and show its support for the cause.

The production manager arrived at Miller Place and completed an all-day shoot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The raw footage offers a look into the stories of others who are struggling with the similar problems while giving a complete picture of the support being offered for the cause.

On August 10, DrakonStudio completed a short Do it for Dona! public service announcement and posted it on the company's Facebook and YouTube. The video with its important message was quickly passed through social media as many are now waiting to see the final documentary.

DrakonStudio plans on having up the final video very soon to show what a small action can do to make a big difference.
