Pelage, (a French word for skin) was founded in 1999 by JoAnne Mendenhall. A nurse for 20 years JoAnne has an extensive medical background in internal medicine, infectious disease, oncology and dermatology. She became a laser specialist in 1996 and was instrumental in developing the first laser hair removal clinic in the Northwest. During that time, she also became certified in micropigmentation (permanent make-up). "I am so grateful to have had the unique experience of working with many brilliant physicians over the years. I have observed and learned so much from them and my patients," says JoAnne, Clinical Director of Pelage Spa and Skin Centre. "It is because of my experiences and observations that I decided to open a medical spa.
