Saving for College? Seminar to Explore Strategies, Investment Tools for Financing Education

Aug. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Pewaukee, Wis. – As college costs climb higher each year, many students and parents undoubtedly wonder how they will afford the escalating tuition, fees and other expenses of post-secondary education.

A free Aug. 30 seminar at Jannsen + Company (http://www.jannsen.com) – just in time for the new school year – will examine investment strategies and tools to build a college nest egg. “Education Savings” will focus on advance planning and using tax-advantaged investment vehicles to turn college dreams into reality. The 7:30 a.m. seminar will be held at the Jannsen Center, W239-N3490 Pewaukee Road (southeast corner of Capitol Drive and Highway 164), Pewaukee.

“A college education is more important than ever, and is costlier than ever, too,” said Terry Jannsen, CPA, CFP®, who will lead the seminar. “Parents and their children have many opportunities to save for higher education, but need to plan ahead and invest strategically to build their needed resources.”

Education costs are unlikely to slow their rapid growth, Jannsen said, making an early start on saving for college even more important.
