For newcomers to the area, or for anyone wondering what the San Francisco Bay Area is really like, 25 short new videos have been posted on the website of The Matchmakers, a real estate company specializing in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and France.
An example is this video of Noe Valley, a neighborhood community in San Francisco.
The videos highlight neighborhoods, events, people and places. Included are videos about Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Marin County, Napa County, and Sonoma County.
Jim Hilgendorf, the principal broker of The Matchmakers, states:
"When my wife Elizabeth and I moved to this marvelous area, it took us quite a while to get familiar with all the diverse places in the greater Bay Area. I thought I would start making a series of videos that would capture some of the flavor of the different places.
"Especially, for people considering moving or relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, I wanted to give them some tools to help get acquainted with this area, and then to follow up with our knowledge of the whole area to assist in their search for a new home - their dream home."
Jim is also a film producer - producer of The Tribute Series, a series of travel videos that are in homes, libraries and schools all across the United States, several of which have appeared on PBS and international television. The Tribute Series website is at:
Jim and Elizabeth Hilgendorf are The Matchmakers, and the other area they enjoy matching up their clients with is France. They have been to France many times - Jim made a film on the Bordeaux and Dordogne Valley area of southwest France - and they have cultivated friendships and connections with agents in Paris, Bordeaux and the Dordogne, Aix-en-Provence, Provence, and the Cote d'Azur, with whom they work closely to help clients get to know France and the intricacies of searching for and buying a home in France.
