Aug. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- New York, NY – (August 18, 2011) Jive recording artist Wish has been known to push the envelope as to what is considered fashionable, musical and acceptable within both her life as well as her budding music career. It is this passion for creativity and individuality that has helped Wish to develop a strong and supportive fan base within the Gay and Lesbian communities. With this in mind, Wish will be caping off a summer filled with a variety of successful performances and appearances with a special show at the 21st annual House of LATEX Ball (A Night At The Latex Museum) presented by the Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC). Executed on August 20, 2011 at the Roseland Ballroom, Wish will grace the stage with America's Best Dance Crew finalists, Vogue Evolution and bring her signature high impact show to the crowd of close to 4,000 on that Saturday evening.

With hits such as the single, “Feel Ur Beat” and a variety of other songs continuously gaining increased support from the LGBT community, Wish is confident that this experience will be one to remember.  “I'm honored to have been asked to perform at such a historic event for the LGBT community,” says Wish. “I am a big fan of Vogue Evolution and am so excited to work with them. I know its going to be an epic night!” With anticipation for this event at a fever pitch in New York City, Vogue Evolution creative director Pony Zionon expresses much of the same enthusiasm as Wish when discussing the impending show. Says Pony, “I never considered the LATEX Ball merely a ball, its a moment; an experience."

The House of LATEX Ball was created as a fundraiser for GMHC’s HIV prevention programs as well as a platform to deliver safe sex messaging in an atmosphere that celebrates life, dance, creativity and innovation. According to Krishna Stone, Assistant Director of Community Relations for the GMHC, “The categories at the ball have always celebrated ballroom history, the non-traditional, and embraced artistic heritages from distinct world cultures”. Fans of Wish and lovers of her music can witness Wish's performance when doors open at 8:00 PM. Pre-event tickets will be available now through Friday, August 19th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the GMHC entrance lobby on the ground floor (446 W 33rd Street, between 9th & 10th Avenue) for $20.
