Aug. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- BELMOPAN,  BELIZE, 17 AUGUST 2011 – The Board of Directors of the Treaty Charitable Trust (philanthropic division of Treaty Energy Corporation, Inc.) announced today the establishment of the BELIZEAN NATIONAL LEADERSHIP FUND (BNLF) providing strategic planning, fundraising consulting and project advancement services to government ministries, local businesses and charitable organizations working together to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Belize.  

In a recent interview with Treaty Charitable Trust’s (http://www.TreatyCharitableTrust.org) co-founder and chairman, Andrew Reid shared, “Our Board is committed to raising the level of visibility of Belize’s economic, education, and environmental leadership in Latin America and around the world. This country plays a unique role in the Caribbean and is a model of how government, corporations and NGO’s can work together to effect real change in the lives of the people they serve.”

BNLF will open up line of communications with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, Corporations and Nongovernmental Organizations that invest in Belize’s education, tourism, and environmental movements.

Proposed projects include:

Providing online remedial and vocational training course offerings designed to enhance and support existing Belizean educational programs.

Adding Philanthrotourism to Belize’s successful ecotourism, geotourism and agritourism enterprises.

Consulting with environmental protection agencies ensuring that recent economic growth occurs in a manner that protects Belize’s natural resources.

Treaty Charitable Trust has retained the James P. LaRose Companies (http://www.JimmyLaRose.com) to oversee the Belizean National Leadership Fund based on their organization’s rich history of service to nations, corporations, and charities worldwide. Founder Jimmy LaRose shared, “It’s a high-calling to serve the citizens of Belize. We know this Countries’ champions have important goals to advance the common good and we look forward to taking the time to understand their vision to make a difference.”

Under the direction of TCT, Jimmy LaRose will launch BNLF with a press conference on September 13, 2011 followed by meetings with key thought-leaders in Belmopan, Dangriga, Punta Gorda & Belize City. The purpose of this trip will be to determine the next right steps TCT could be involved in to expand these important projects.
