Rotary Lebanon reduces unemployment through INJAZ

Ten years ago, five Rotarians from several clubs in Lebanon have started an NGO called INJAZ Lebanon. INJAZ provides training and assistance to public teachers and school kids to further the understanding of economics & the private enterprise system.

Aug. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- In 2001, five Rotarians from several clubs in Lebanon have started an NGO called INJAZ Lebanon (affiliated to Junior Achievement / Young Enterprise), and in a period of 10 years, they succeeded in giving 1 out of 9 programs to 60,000 kids in 110 public schools, with the help of 450 volunteers:

    •   RC Zahle Bekaa - HE MP. Joseph Maalouf
    •   RC Sahel Metn - MM. Gilbert Doumit
    •   RC Metn    - Mr. Kamal Katra
    •   RC Beirut Metropolitan - Mr. Rida Asmar
    •   RC Beirut Cedars - Mr. Rony Farra

The programs which started with a contribution of 1,000 USD, now involves an annual budget of 450,000 dollars.

INJAZ Lebanon (IL) is a nonprofit non-governmental educational organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial learning through experiential hands on programs, to help inspire a culture of entrepreneurialism and business innovation among youth in Lebanon and increase their economic and financial literacy.
INJAZ Lebanon is an affiliate of INJAZ al-ARAB and Junior Achievement Worldwide, the world’s largest educational organization dedicated to Workforce Readiness, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy, and reaches 9.3 million students a year, from kindergarten through 12th grade, in more than 123 countries.
