“We are excited to work with the community in Oakland to put on this event. East Oakland is filled with gifted, talented and creative youth. Put a book in their hands and powerful things will happen.”

“I personally attended a Reading Rainbow in the Park which was held in East Palo Alto. I witness the excitement, fun, and most importantly, the joy the children were having in reading and being read too. After discussing with the organizer, Marlayna Tuiasosopo, the idea to bring the event to the East Oakland community was born.”
