Aug. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- What is a derivative artwork?  It is art taken from the original and created into a           completely new piece of artwork.  Catherine takes a photograph of her original finished   painting.  She then creates a jpg and manipulates it in the effect of a kaleidoscope.  The  formulations are endless due to the ability to crop the photos.  She holds the copyrights to the original artwork, the photograph, and the final derivative work.  These are not reproductions of the original artwork and only exist in virtual reality on the monitor until printed.  In the future she will be creating fabrics with her patterns and they will be available for creating fashions for clothing and homes.

The Hyde Park Art Show will be on Hyde Park Square in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sunday,        October 2, 2011.  This will be Ms. Chiara’s second time exhibiting in the prestigious        juried show.  This year she is in space 187.  For more information on the show visit         http://www.hydeparksquare.org/hydeparkartshow.html.  Until the show, Catherine R. Chiara’s work can be seen at http://www.etsy.com/people/catherinechiara
