Calgary Fashion Designer Goes Big And Heads For Boston And Brooklyn

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Local Calgary Fashion designer Ruby Johnson will be showing her new spring 2012 fuchsia collection in Boston Emerging Trends Fashion Week and Brooklyn Fashion Week this September. Ruby Johnson, designer behind Ruby Ellen has decided to take a leap and go for the big time this fall after designing and perfecting her skill for several years in Calgary. Ruby will not only represent her own collection in Boston and Brooklyn, but will represent Canadian design and Calgary arts and culture, leaving an impression which many hope will draw attention to Calgary’s creative scene.

Ruby designs unique and beautiful bridal wear and evening gowns, including custom bridal gowns tailored specifically for her clients. Her 2012 designs are more than bridal wear. They include vivid upbeat colours, vibrant tones inspired by the fuchsia flower, textured fabrics spun into enormous 3D flowers, and detailed bead work. Her entire collection can also be viewed in her soon to be released look book which will also be shared with potential buyers in Boston and Brooklyn.

Ruby admits that she could not have set forth on her own. Supportive clients, friends and her children have encouraged her to move forward. Therefore, Ruby invites anyone interested in fashion, arts and culture to view a sneak peek of her Fuchsia collection in Calgary on Sunday August 28th at her Sneak Peak Lunch Box Social event. The event includes a fashion show performance featuring the models shown in her look book, and VIP tickets include a catered dinner by Ruby herself.
