The event will run from 10am until 6pm with talks, practical sessions, a boot camp style programme and access to various vouchers and offers throughout the day.
Teens will be given talks on the correct sports clothing to wear while exercising and the importance of choosing the right attire. There will also be opportunities to talk to people from local sports groups who will offer invaluable advice and tips.
Weightlifting technique classes will be offered ensuring that those looking to focus on muscle building do it correctly, safely and effectively.
Talks and workshops are also on the agenda with female instructors discussing weight loss, toning and tackling cellulite.
Jason Eaton, manager of theclub said: “It’s really important to encourage young people to exercise and stay healthy and when better to do it than when they are bored during the summer holidays.
“We are inviting teens in the region to come along and have a fun active day with us, while learning how to keep fit in the future. We have some of the best facilities in the area so it’s a great opportunity for youngsters to have a go.”
The health club is also looking to tackle other more sensitive issues such as exercising during the menstrual cycle and exercising to combat mental fatigue.
