A Timely Message of Peace in New Book: An Angel Whispered

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- In the aftermath of the London riots, people are looking for wisdom to be able to return to a state of peace and begin healing. An Angel Whispered is an inspiring new book that shares how to experience peace within, even when there is peacelessness all around.

The author, Patricia Tashiro, is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and wrote the book due to her own search for peace and happiness while troubled by the struggles and turmoil around the world. She admits that her peace used to fluctuate greatly according to what was happening. It was because of this that she was drawn to study Raja Yoga Meditation with The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, which has been awarded seven UN Peace Messenger Awards. http://www.bkwsu.org
 
While studying at The University with her teacher, Gizi Pruthi, ‘the angel who whispered’, she found the answers to her questions about life, death and her purpose for being. Patricia said, ‘Once these big life questions were answered, I found that my mind became much more peaceful. It was no longer spinning with questions about why things were happening, which often sparked anger within over some injustice or another.’ Patricia believes the wisdom she has learned enabled her to maintain her stability in the face of the recent riots.

She added about Gizi Pruthi, who co-ordinates the activities of one of The University’s centres in London: ‘What is wonderful about her, and I hope is captured in the book, is how she shares with such depth, and yet simplicity. Even when someone is facing a very challenging time, she will share some nugget of wisdom that helps them see things in another way, and so their strength, and more importantly, their hope is restored. With strength and hope, healing can begin, which is really what is needed now.’
