All-Child Cast Stars in The Runner from Ravenshead

Directed by Joel Steege and written and produced by Steege and his wife, Lisa, the family film is also a family effort that stars the couple’s young children in a script they co-wrote about a daring prison escapee and an amateur guide who escorts her to safety and freedom.

Credited simply as Amelia Joy, the Steeges’ daughter plays former Ravenshead Prison inmate Sam. After a daring escape from Ravenshead Prison, Sam must outrun the relentless wardens. Thankfully, the City of Refuge Guide Service is there to help her to freedom, but with every guide already busy, the accident-prone janitor, Henry, gets his long-awaited first assignment. Join Sam and Henry as they experience hair-breadth escapes, hilarious mishaps, and a climactic pursuit in this action-packed adventure.

Likened to a blend of The Pilgrim’s Progress and The Little Rascals, The Runner from Ravenshead is an allegory about finding rest from the struggles of life. The film combines adventure, humor, and life lessons in what the American Family Association called, “One of the most creative films in years!”

In addition to Amelia Joy, the cast includes Harrison Joel, Addison Charles, Brendan Lee, Tate Ivan, and Bartholomew. Produced by Little Crew Studios, the movie also includes an original score by Dane Walker and the FILMharmonic Orchestra of Prague.
