The respect and appreciation that is well known by residents of these areas within the grand state of Alabama; is evidence of Trans City Cab's struggle to the top of the taxi cab industry in Huntsville and Madison, AL. The newspaper is free and set to launch its first publication in September of 2011. Speaking of being ten steps ahead, Trans City Cab has already for the past year, been using QR codes both advanced (picture logo that is scannable) and the basic black and white barcode type image. This means that any literature they put out will have a code/graphic to scan and be taken directly to their site. Talk about a competitive edge on getting the word out!

However, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves here. In order for Trans City Cab to allow people to scan their QR Code to be taken directly to their website, they had to create a mobile site, specifically for smart phones and mobile devices right? The answer is a resounding 'Yes'. Their website is 'so' smart in fact, that is can detect whether or not you are actually using a mobile device, or are on a laptop or desktop- imagine that!

I think that Trans City Cab should be given some sort of business award, or something of that nature. All these conveniences for the public and no recognition? I think we'll have to work on that one.
