"Our Administration appreciates the career training opportunities TotalMobile affords young talent, and our current workforce, as it continues to focus on business growth and job creation here in the Commonwealth.” Lieutenant Governor Murray met with TotalMobile executives in 2008, and with the assistance of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment (MOITI), successfully persuaded the company to select Massachusetts over other states to site its North American operations. Earlier this year, Governor Deval Patrick led a Massachusetts Innovation Economy Partnership Mission to Israel and the UK, focused on catalyzing business expansion, job growth and collaboration. The trade mission included successful industry forums, company visits and meetings with business leaders and government officials in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, London and Cambridge. TotalMobile has a 25-year history of operating in the software industry, first starting in Northern Ireland and then branching out to the United States in early 2008 to support its growing U.S. partners and customer base. TotalMobile provides software to a wide range of state and municipal government customers and private industry organizations, including prepackaged mobile applications platforms that allow field workers to capture information in real-time and relay information to back-office systems, reducing travel costs and time spent on processing paperwork. As part of its Massachusetts expansion, TotalMobile has hired well-known technology industry executive Stephen Carson to lead its North American Operations.
