PRLog - Aug. 11, 2011 - With Thanksgiving and Black Friday right around the corner, there’s no better place to get started on the daunting task of holiday shopping than the Sacramento Harvest Festival®, returning to Cal Expo on November 18-20.

The event showcases hundred of vendors, the latest in handcrafted gifts, entertainers and special features. Guests can browse jewelry, clothing, fine art and photography, pottery, toys, home décor and more, all while mingling with the artists that create each piece.

“I talk to so many people who come to our show year after year specifically to pick up products that they plan to use at their Thanksgiving celebrations,” said Nancy Glenn, Harvest Festival show manager. “It makes us feel great to be a part of their holiday traditions.”

Throughout the weekend there is high-energy live entertainment; including appearances from the Cash Tribute Band featuring James Garner, covering the classing hits of Johnny Cash with honesty and accuracy. Mad Dash, the high energy 7 piece band, will also be on hand to get shoppers in the groove, playing everything from current top 40 hits to classic oldies. There’s also strolling entertainment like Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf who meander through the aisles and serenade customers with seasonal tunes.

Rocklin resident and Harvest Festival exhibitor Georgia Bockoven will be holding a special book signing of her newest release, “The Year Everything Changed”. Aside from being a professional photographer, Georgia is also an accomplished author who has sold over four million books worldwide.  Also exhibiting at the show is Todd Borg, author of the popular Owen McKenna detective series. Todd will be selling and signing copies of his latest novel in the series, “Tahoe Hijack.”

The official charity of the Sacramento Harvest Festival® are the AT&T Pioneers, a volunteer network that helps local communities by aiding educational programs, running local food drives, assisting after natural disasters, and much more. The AT&T Pioneers will receive half of the proceeds from shopping bag sales, as well as all the proceeds from the bag and parcel check. Elk Grove Food Bank Services will also be onsite and handing out $2 off admission coupons to anyone who brings a non-perishable food donation to the show.
