Stepping Into the Future
(San Bernardino, CA, August 10, 2011) – Time for Change Foundation (TFCF) is proud to announce that it will be celebrating “Stepping into the Future,” its client recognition and graduation event which will be held at its shelter facility, “Sweet Dreams,” on August 17, 2011 beginning at 5:00pm.
Since 2002, TFCF has been dedicated to assisting homeless women and children towards self-sufficiency through its supportive resources and services. Stacy Duncanson, an upcoming graduate, stated, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I never believed I would have made it this far, I have never been self-sufficient. Before, I couldn’t see hope, I was afraid of failing, but now I’m a completely different person than when I walked in.”
The graduates for “Stepping Into the Future” will be receiving certificates of recognition from several state and local leaders including Assemblymember Wilmer Amina Carter, Assemblymember Mike Morrell, San Bernardino County Supervisor Josie Gonzales, San Bernardino Mayor Patrick J. Morris, and San Bernardino Chief of Police Keith Kilmer.
Reflecting on the upcoming event, TFCF’s Public Relations Specialist John Kunkel stated, “Our motto is ‘We call it home, others call it hope,’ and although I have been here for less than a year, I am amazed by the way this program creates impacting change and places hope in the lives of women and children. Time for Change succeeds in the most fundamental areas required for self-sufficiency. ‘Stepping Into the Future’ will be an event in celebration of this truth. ”

Since 2002 Time For Change Foundation has been dedicated to helping homeless women and children achieve self-sufficiency by using a strength-based approach to address their needs. Our programs and supportive services help to provide the women and children with the tools necessary to recover from homelessness, drug addiction, family separation, mental and physical abuse, and the effects of incarceration.
The children in our program are the priority. Our early childhood development program, learning activities, and consistent love and support help break the intergenerational cycle of poverty and incarceration, paving the way to a successful future.
