Aug. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- “Heart Like Mine,” the third studio album from The Fallen Stars, is now available for purchase at iTunes, CD Baby and the band’s website – www.thefallenstars.com.   “Heart Like Mine” is sixteen tracks of Americana rock n’ roll in the mold of Bruce Springsteen, The Pretenders, Wilco and Whiskeytown.

From the driving guitar work of 'Glad' to the soaring lead vocals of Tracy Byrnes on 'Brother', "Heart Like Mine" moves seamlessly from stadium rock through country to land in a style all its own.  Notable tracks include the heart wrenching 'Dam', the pop-infused 'All I Want' and 'Jericho', an anthemic saga about a woman determined to set things right.  Other highlights include the sweetly poignant title track 'Heart Like Mine', the rain-soaked small town sensibility of 'Plain Street' and the raw emotion of the hard-driving  'Summer Wine', while the easy charm of 'Part-time Cowboy' complements the roadhouse favorite 'Truckin’ Song'.

Following up from the success of the 2009 release “Where the Road Bends”, the Fallen Stars were determined to deliver something extraordinary, something above and beyond their last two studio albums.  “I’ve always wanted to make my London Calling”, Bobbo Byrnes stated, “and as we started fine-tuning the album I knew we were onto something.”  His wife and band mate Tracy added, “We’ve been fortunate to have some wonderful people playing and writing with us and our fans have been so supportive throughout the making of this album. We’re thrilled to have a record that really shines with all the love and effort that went into it.”

“Heart Like Mine” includes contributions from a handful of talented musicians, including Rami Jaffee on Hammond B3 (The Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers), Caitlin Cary on violin (Whiskeytown) and Danny Ott on guitar and lap steel (Chris Gaffney, Dave Alvin ).

About The Fallen Stars
The Fallen Stars, winners of multiple Orange County Music Awards and the SoCal Live Competition’s “Best Live Band” and “Best Live Acoustic Band”, are comprised of lead singer and guitarist Bobbo Byrnes, lead vocalist and bassist Tracy Byrnes, Gary O’Yeah on drums and Geoff Geib on the B3 and piano.  The band’s previous two albums – “Found and Lost” and “Where the Road Bends” - are also available for purchase.  The Fallen Stars is one of the hardest working bands in Southern California. They are an Americana Rock band that believes a good story can break your heart and a driving guitar riff can put it back together again, all in the space of a three minute song.
