New Women’s Practice Group Launches BIG with Inaugural Women’s Symposium – Healthy, Wealthy

Aug. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA -- Wealth by Design for Women℠, a newly launched women’s practice group of HoyleCohen Wealth Management, shows its support of women in San Diego by hosting Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Women’s Symposium – What Every Women Needs to Know. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011 to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the San Diego Del Mar Marriott. It will offer women a day of dynamic speakers and concurrent educational workshops to address women’s health, wealth, and emergency preparedness.

Co-founder of Wealth by Design for Women℠ Elisabeth Cullington, CFP® stated, “This event is our opportunity to make a huge difference in the lives of women. Through educational workshops and memorable keynotes, we want to increase a woman’s preparedness for her overall well-being, particularly in the areas of personal finance and health.”

Janet Acheatel, CFP® and also co-Founder of Wealth by Design for Women℠ added, “This event goes beyond just the sharing of relevant information. It is truly a collaborative and interactive environment for women to not only learn from the experts, but learn from each other.”

Keynote speakers and topics include world-renown National Geographic Photographer and inspirational speaker Dewitt Jones. He will deliver his inspirational presentation, “Extraordinary Visions” and will use his own photography to share his message about self-awareness and life perspective.

Barbara Parker, M.D., San Diego’s most sought after oncologist in San Diego County, will deliver her, “State of Breast Cancer” talk with an emphasis on the future of breast cancer treatment and prevention.

Wealth Psychology Expert and author, Kathleen Burns Kingsbury will explore women’s relationship with money and share methods of how to become more emotional and financially conscious of the relationship with personal finances. She intends to motivate people to make lasting financial behavior change.

Colette Carlson, Human Behavior Expert, will offer a segment designed to raise the audience’s confidence and self-awareness. One of her key themes is the Art of Negotiation. Her talk is designed to empower women to ask the right questions and require answers so that they can effectively navigate through the medical system and financial services.

The full-day Symposium’s concurrent workshops include: Building Your Financial Dream Team; 10 Things Women Need to Know about Personal Finance; The Risks that Women Face; Creating Wealth from the Inside Out; Healthy Living: Sorting Through Fact and Fiction; Supporting Services: What’s Out There to Support Cancer Patients; Tips Towards Preparedness; Being Aware Leads to Being Prepared.

All net proceeds from Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise Women’s Symposium will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and The Betty’s Cancer Foundation. The San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front, including funding grants to local community organizations. The Betty’s Cancer Foundation, inspired by one woman’s struggle with breast cancer, was established to help women with cancer find answers through a comprehensive network directory.
