Twenty-Third Annual "Taste of Williamsville" Held This Past Sunday

Event in historic Village of Williamsville was a success.

Aug. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Williamsville, New York – The annual “Taste of Williamsville,” presented by the Village Preservation Foundation and the Williamsville Business Association, is a fun-filled day of food and entertainment.  This year’s event was a family friendly hit for the entire community.

William Mattar, local auto injury attorney and founder of William Mattar Law Offices, has been actively involved in the Village Preservation Foundation since its inception and has held the position of President since 2000.  He enjoys being involved with and being a sponsor of the “Taste of Williamsville” each year.

"It's an honor to be a part of such a great event within the community.  The ‘Taste of Williamsville’ always has so much to offer from amazing food, to great music, to family friendly entertainment," said William Mattar.

"I really enjoy being involved with wonderful organizations like the Village Preservation Foundation; whose goal is to preserve the culture and rich history of the area."

This year’s theme was “A Picnic in Camelot” and was located at Island Park behind Town Hall on Main Street in the Village of Williamsville.  New features this year included shaded seating under the pavilion, bistro tables in grassy areas, new restaurants and new bands.  Another addition was “Hot Rods on Main.”  This event showcased a variety of cars in the Town Parking lot between Town Hall and the Library from 12pm-4pm.

The 2011 “Taste of Williamsville” was held August 7th from 12pm-9pm in Island Park behind Town Hall on Main Street in the historic Village of Williamsville.  For a complete list of menu items from restaurants that participated, click here.

About The Village Preservation Foundation
The Village Preservation Foundation was established in 1999.  It was created to inform the public about the culture and history of Western New York.  The foundation conducts, sponsors and promotes public events that celebrate the culture and history of the community.  Another goal of the foundation is to preserve, protect, promote and beautify public areas.
