Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- In every office (http://www.office1web.ie/) lives a printer. There are 100’s of different types of printers and every printer needs some specific type of print paper to get the best result out of it.

Three common types of printers used in offices today are copier, ink jet and laser. To get amazing results you need to use specific recommended printer paper for each printer. Like for example Ink jet paper would not be suitable for laser and copier printers. So really you should always read the instruction manual of the printer before using the paper in it, “Yea right, I here you say”.

Also bare in mind the different sizes of paper that can be used in printers like A3 paper, A4 paper = the most common, and so on. Some papers are specifically known as copier paper and only fit for copiers, normally the cheapest paper around, so don’t expect top quality when buying copier paper. Look at the weight of the paper 80gsm up to 120gsm, after that your getting into card type paper.

Believe me the instruction manual is the best place to look when looking for the best type of paper to use with you printer, you’ll easily identify the correct paper to purchase from ourselves. Otherwise, buy the wrong paper and you could end up with a huge amount of headaches with either paper jammed in the machine or printing paper not catching the required printed quality. Every printer has its own user manual so be advised and have a quick read of the instructions before using the printer to get the best results possible and avoid any unwelcome problems in the future.

Storing office paper in the right environment and under the right conditions is also a factor worth serious consideration, believe it or not. The paper needs to be handled with care, especially if it’s not ream wrapped, so it’s all kept even and easy to install in the printer, but also so it doesn’t get marked or stained.  Also if kept near direct sunlight it can also affect the colour which doesn’t look great when presenting to a potential client or even your boss. So store the paper for printing in a cupboard where it’s safe from marks, spillage, sunlight and also moisture. As we all know that once paper is exposed to moisture it can become curly and end up jamming in your printer never mind wasting your money. If your office is prone to moisture you can also ask Office 1 for low moisture paper, which we can also source and supply. Recycled paper works best in most copiers and printers and also you are doing your bit for the environment at the same time.

When dealing with clients & customers always opt for the business paper which gives you the best results. As the old saying goes, “Always put your best foot forward” or “ First Impressions count” Use the supreme quality paper as the lower quality can not only damage your printer but can also damage your image. Remember love your office.
