Videdrone.com, a cutting edge music blog, launches

Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Videdrone.com, a cutting edge music blog based in Nashville, Tennessee, has launched.

Videdrone enables users to discover music that is new to them and rediscover music from the past through videos, featured artist posts, and music news feeds; the site can be accessed by going to http://www.videdrone.com. Each week, multiple music videos are posted from many different genres, along with the artist website and links to where the music can be purchased. Each music video is categorized into it's genre or multiple genres, so the user can browse efficiently. There is also a search bar, for users who want to find something specific. While music videos are the site's main focus, other features include featured artists and a news feed resource page. The site is available in 58 different languages, allowing people from all over the world to participate.

Videdrone admin, Brandon Whitworth, decided that it was time for a different type of music blog. "Most music blogs I have found online only focus on one or two different genres, which is great," Whitworth said. "However, I felt it was time for a blog with a wider scope, which is why Videdrone does not cater to any one audience or genre. Our primary goals are for each person to view music through a different lens, promote an open-minded attitude toward music in general, and to help many artists become noticed and sell more records."

With the hopes of spawning opinionated discussion, Videdrone allows users to comment on everything that gets posted. "If someone doesn't like a video or post, we want them to have the ability to let everyone know. Everyone's opinion, whether we agree with it or not, is welcome," Whitworth said. Many future additions to Videdrone are in the works, including a text blog and music playlists. "Videdrone will evolve and expand over time," Whitworth said. "It will only get bigger."
