Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Jacksonville, Fla. – CND Trucking, a Jacksonville, Florida-based refrigerated and dry freight transportation company, has recently expanded its operations due to an increase of business and revenues, reported Tracy Jackson, partner and vice president of the firm.
The company, which has been serving the Southeast since 1996, reported a 33 percent increase in sales for 2011 versus 2010. As a result of the company’s financial progress, CND has expanded its fleet by adding 8 new transport trailers, a tractor and additional owner operators.
Over the past few years, the trucking industry has been affected by the economic down turn. “We have had to overcome obstacles such as rate cuts, fuel cost increases, and finding and financing additional equipment,” Jackson reported.
“However, we have had additional business from fellow First Coast Manufacturers Association (FCMA) members WhiteWave Foods, Henry’s Hickory House (Bubba Burgers), and Shaw’s Southern Belle Frozen Foods. And along with this increased business, bank financing has eased,” Jackson added.
With the increase in revenues, Jackson and his partner and company president Mike Harris plan to add a few more trailers before the end of the year.
CND has been a member of the FCMA since Harris and Jackson purchased the company in 2007.
