Changing the way we do church–Wouldn’t You Belong to a Church Like This? officially released

Howard Peace releases his new book, “Wouldn’t You Belong To A Church Like This? A Vision from the Hebrew Names of the Cities of Refuge”on Amazon.com.

Aug. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Howard Peace, a local church leader, has released a new non-fiction work that compares how the 21st century church should reflect the names, meanings, and actions of the Cities of Refuge outlined in the Bible (Joshua 20).  Quoting the author:
If the church is ever to be successful in changing the world we must offer a refuge that is completely different from what they have experienced elsewhere on their journey.  Most are not looking for a new set of shallow relationships.  They’re not looking for ritual or a new set of rules.  They’re looking for life!  And if the people they encounter in the four walls of the church don’t have it, they’ll keep on looking or else just give up and suffer through whatever comes, alone, unchanged and unsatisfied.
New models for churches spring up continually these days.  The book shelves in Christian bookstores are lined with them.  Many of them deal with rapid growth techniques, new programs, revised infrastructure, different ideas on leadership, and outlines for equipping the Body to do the work of the ministry.  I applaud them all.  However, whatever form or emphasis your church takes, it will still deal with the primary problem that occurs whenever a group of people congregate together:
•   How do we establish meaningful and lasting life-giving relationships?
•   How do we recognize and meet the needs that will continually present themselves?
•   How do we live together in such a way that the world takes note that we have been with Jesus?
Mr. Peace’s book is available for $11.95 retail with terms for wholesale distribution available.  The book is offered through Createspace.com and Amazon.com and is also available through major wholesale distributors worldwide.
