EnCon Companies Wins 2011 Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Design Award

Aug. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- This coveted award is being given to the I-80 Over Echo Dam Road in Echo, Utah.  The project, sold by Chad Van Kampen, Sr. Precast Engineer for EnCon Companies, consists of 14 precast AASHTO Type II Girders with a span of 82 ft.  The owner, Utah Department of Transportation, worked with General Contractor, R.L. Wadsworth of Draper, Utah and Engineer, Michael Baker Jr. of Midvale, Utah; along with Project Manager, Charles Leidholdt, General Manager of EnCon Utah in Tooele to successfully develop and complete the structure.  

Each year, PCI promotes the Design Awards winners through a national publicity campaign that includes the production of a special issue of ASCENT magazine featuring the winning entries.  In addition, a complete list of winners will be posted in the coming weeks at www.pci.org.
