Mid-Century Danish Rosewood Furniture on Vintage Seekers

Vintage Seekers has expanded its design range with new listings of original vintage rosewood furniture.

Aug. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Featured in the Vintage Seekers furniture range are pieces from the 50s and 60s by iconic designers such as Omann Jun and Kai Kristiansen – including vintage rosewood cabinets, tables, chests of drawers and desks.

Omann Jun's Møbelfabrik (the family business founded by Andreas Omann in 1933) is well-represented on Vintage Seekers with a 1950s vintage Danish Rosewood Desk Model 77 and a rectangular 1960s Rosewood Dining Table. Another 1960s extending rosewood dining table on Vintage Seekers was designed by Kai Kristiansen.

Also featured frequently in Vintage Seekers’ Design collection are rosewood pieces by Arne Vodder, including a freestanding sideboard designed in 1954, an early 60s rosewood easy chair and a vintage dining table manufactured by Silbast in the late 1950s.

Also in the Vintage Seekers rosewood furniture offering are some Henning Korch Rosewood and Brass Cabinets Model 103 and a Finn Juhl Rosewood Technocrat Desk, both from the 1960s. There is also a 1960s rosewood desk by the late Norwegian designer Torbjorn Afdal.

Rosewood has become increasingly rare due to the over logging of certain trees, so Vintage Seekers, the 20th century design and collectibles site, is a convenient option for sourcing these hard-to-come-by, highly collectible pieces of vintage design.

Vintage Seekers is a unique online platform and magazine dedicated to original 20th century design and collectibles. Inspired by the authenticity, style and integrity of products that have stood the test of time, bringing together the best examples of design, fashion, motoring, watches, wine and memorabilia.
