PRLog -- By Arcadian Projects Inc. Oakbridge Holdings Inc., a local property development company, was pleased to give their offices on Manitiou Drive in Kitchener a “green” addition to its roofscape. The former CAA building offered an ideal location for a solar PV system, with a south facing flat roofed area, just large enough to secure a 10 kW solar array. Oakbridge had the renewable energy system designed and installed by local installers, Arcadian Projects. Arcadian took only a few days to prepare the roof where the system was to be placed, bringing it up to required standards. With the solar array pre-assembled on site, it was ready to be lifted by crane first thing in the morning on installation day; put into place before most of the employees of the various companies housed in the building were even thinking of leaving for their jobs. Working diligently to prepare the roof base and pre-build the 10 kW solar system on the site earlier in the week, the Arcadian crew was ready for the hoist by crane, which was completed in under half an hour. Setting the system on its foundation was done with seemless effort, and final adjustments were made to secure it to the building. Due to Arcadian Projects' involvement with the Electrical Safety Authority's "Authorized Contractor Program", the connection was able to be completed only days after the installation. The Oakbridge Holdings microFIT system was then fully functional and producing renewable power for the Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Company.
