Home Front Hearts will use the 40 roundtrip tickets to honor the service of military families by providing eligible military families the opportunity to visit their wounded warriors in hospital locations far from home, allow military spouses to visit family for respite during deployment, visit extended family for celebrations, illnesses, or deaths, and connect family members with service members located in cities across the country.
After reading Home Front Hearts’ entry, it was clear to Southwest Airlines that Home Front Hearts is “making a positive impact on its community and was proud to provide them the opportunity to spread their wings and achieve its mission.”
The “Showing LUV to our Communities for 40 Years Contest” was announced by Southwest to honor their 40th anniversary to spread the LUV even further to the communities they serve.
