Aug. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- San Diegans benefit from great weather nearly all year round and have many options for outdoor workouts like fitness boot camps.

Outdoor workouts are great, because people spend about 90% of their day indoors. It
gives them a chance to really get a change of scenery and breathe in the fresh are.

“People should consider working out outside because there are numerous benefits to
enjoying the great outdoors,” says Jaylin Allen of Bootique Fitness.

“Being outdoors exposes us to fresh air, which gives people a sense of well-being,” says Jaylin, “Other benefits occur from the exposure to sunlight which gives us Vitamin D. Vitamin D helps prevents cancer, depression, and bone disease.”

Bootique Fitness is an all-women’s outdoor fitness bootcamp that runs in various locations around San Diego. Even though San Diego has near perfect weather, this boot camp class in San Diego runs rain or shine, which gives bootcampers exposure to different types of San Diego weather and allows them to really appreciate it!

There are several other ways to get fit outdoors in San Diego: hiking at Mission Trails or Lake Poway, biking at Daley Ranch or Mission Bay, jogging on any beach, or simply walking around downtown. Don’t forget about the Zoo and Wild Animal Park! There are great walking trails at the Wild Animal Park and great hills at the Zoo.

San Diegans should breathe in the fresh air and incorporate outdoor workouts into their fitness regimens.
