Buddy Cruise is an annual event that brings together educational and support resources for parents, caregivers, and children with Down syndrome. A4CWSN is a national organization that evaluates technology for children with special needs.
On this year's Buddy Cruise, held on October 16-23, 2011, Gary James from A4CWSN and Founder of Apps for Children with Special Needs will be one of the many presenters during the cruise. His group will be giving away iPads loaded with the AbleNet SoundingBoard app as one of several he reviews and recommends during his portion of the educational event.
AbleNet is using its reach within the special needs community to directly raise money for Buddy Cruise. For each entrant to its Assistive Technology Package Giveaway contest on Facebook, AbleNet will donate $1.00 to Buddy Cruise up to a maximum of $4000. If the $4000 figure is reached, AbleNet will also donate an iPad to A4CWSN. To enter the contest, visit http://www.facebook.com/
The final donation check will be presented to Buddy Cruise during a pre-cruise party at the Hampton Inn , Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral Florida where participants are staying the night before the cruise.
“We know we are incredibly fortunate to have such passionate and committed customers,” said Brenda Arndt, AbleNet’s Digital Marketing Manager. “If every supporter would take the time to enter the contest on the AbleNet Facebook page, we know we could raise thousands for the support of our special needs community and Buddy Cruise.”
