Follow on Google News | Colorado Technical University to sponsor 2011 National Symposium on Homeland Security and DefenseColorado Technical University (CTU), one of the leaders in security and homeland defense education, has agreed to be a Gold-level sponsor of the 2011 NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM on Homeland Security and Defense™.
By: National Homeland Defense Foundation CTU is sponsoring this year’s symposium because CTU provides students an opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in computer systems security. Last year, the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security recognized CTU as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance. “This is an important alliance for CTU because many of our students are preparing for job opportunities in the security realm,” said Robert Lally, the dean heading up the development of a full-blown homeland security program at CTU. The symposium provides an opportunity for attendees to take a closer in-depth look at national security issues. This is the third year that CTU has agreed to be a Gold-level sponsor. The 2011 Homeland Security and Defense™ symposium is scheduled Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. Among others, the event will include presentations on: • The effect of shifting borders on U.S. security and commerce; • Security and defense of the Arctic; • The dynamic nature of counter-terrorism and force protection. About the National Homeland Defense Foundation: NHDF was established in 2004 as a non-partisan, nonprofit forum and rallying point for our country’s response to the ever-eminent presence of terrorism tactics, and preparing and responding to natural disasters around the country.
