Free Telegraph fantasy fund manager competition: best investor wins £20,000

Aug. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- The Telegraph is offering aspiring investment gurus the chance to put their fund management skills to the test to be in with a chance to win a prize out of the impressive £50,000 pot.
   
In sponsorship with JP Morgan, this year’s Fantasy Fund Manager (http://fantasyfundmanager.telegraph.co.uk/) competition is more enticing than ever, with £20,000 up for grabs for the broker with the highest investments, while the broker in 2nd place wins £5,000, 3rd place £2,500, and the main team prize is £2,500.

If you are new to investment banking then fear not, you can opt for the lucky dip option and still be in with a chance to win the cash.  And the most improved player, who jumps the most positions each month, will receive £250.

How to Play

Once registered on the Telegraph’s Fantasy Fund Manager website contestants can start using their £100,000 worth of fantasy funds to invest.  If those who register do not pick their own funds, then they will automatically be entered for the lucky dip.  £1,000 is also up for grabs for simply referring a friend – so start spreading the word.

The funds available in the competition have been chosen by experts from Trustnet – a funds specialist.  To find out more about a potential investment contestants are advised to click on the fund name and read about the company on the Telegraph Fund Centre (http://funds.telegraph.co.uk/clients/telegraph/) fact sheet, to be able to make a more informed decision about how much to invest, if any at all in that fund.

Other Prizes

Along with the prize for the most improved investor and ‘refer a friend’, there will be two other opportunities outside of the main prizes to win some cash.

The shrewdest commenter – Each month the commenter with the shrewdest tip for investing will win £250 – so don’t hold back from sharing your wisdom.

The surprise prize draw – A special prize draw will also occur where a different competition will be held each month with winners receiving £250.


Hurry though because investors only have 8 days left to sign up and pick investment funds – the deadline is August 16th 2011.  The main game runs until March 31, 2012, although contestants also have the opportunity to win prizes on a monthly basis.
