Follow on Google News | HBAA Awards 2011 judges announcedJudges for the 2011 HBAA Awards have been unveiled as the association seeks entries to recognise best practice in the industry
By: Hotel Booking Agents Association Mark Lewis, group editor, Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine will once again be part of the panel and will judge the ‘Promoting Excellence within the Industry’ category. New judges include Yasmin Arrigo, editor of Conference and Incentive Travel magazine, who will choose the winner of the ‘Training & Development’ The 2011 awards feature a brand new category – ‘Venue of the Year’ which has been added to recognise hotels, venues and apartment services that excel in their day to day operation. This award will be voted for online by corporates. Andrew Deakin, head of the marketing committee said: “We look forward to seeing all the entries and to welcoming the shortlisted contenders to the HBAA Forum on the 8th-9th September, where the winner of each category will be announced”. Entries are open and close for written applications this Friday 5th August. Nominations for the ‘Agent of the Year’ and ‘Venue of the Year’ Award need to be in by Wednesday 24th August.
