In order to get the many thousand fresh-students well-adjusted to the global environment of the University, Lovely Professional University is conducting a 'Freshmen Induction Programme-2011'. Covering an Informative & Entertaining Schedule, this programme is to continue up to 7th August, 2011. Under this different sessions are planned at different Blocks, Shri Baldev Raj Mittal Auditorium, campus café open stage and play-grounds. The senior authorities of the university are introducing them, in batches, to the university set-up, policies & procedures, University Management System (UMS) and placements. Continuous Cultural Shows, Movies, Presentations, Carnival, City & Campus Tours have also been arranged to entertain them. In addition, they are being provided with a Relevant Information containing handbook "FAT Letter" to serve as ready-reckoner for immediate needed know-how about the University.
Welcoming and congratulating the new students on becoming an integral part of the LPU Community, the Chancellor of the University, Mr. Ashok Mittal said: "This induction programme is specially carved out so that the fresh students may step into the new phase of their lives with the University, this programme is going to quench all their curiosities/
uncertainties in regard to the novel changes to be soon experienced by them." He further ascertained the new entrants: "All fresher-students should attend all the sessions scheduled for them in batches, as these are going to familiarize you, in the shortest possible time-frame, with the culture, important rules and regulations about the University prior to formal commencement of first term of your related programme." Motivating them, he exclaimed: "Upholding the traditions and values of India, you are going to be exposed to the global standards. In order to make you ready for the same, this programme is also very special to boost you up to nurture and exhibit your potentialities, abilities, hidden talents by showcasing your creative performances in different areas!"
On this occasion the talented students of the University are entertaining and motivating the fresh students through their enchanting performances depicting great unity in cultural diversity. Getting boosted the new students are also exhibiting their inborn talents daily, shedding away all their hesitations and complexes, well embracing the culture and traditions of the University. Some of such students Amardeep, Athar, Jo-Ann, Kapil, Bhavneet Ashwani, Ritika and others said joyfully: "We are very happy to join the largest university of India. The way we have been received here under special Induction Programme is superb and it is really a novel experience for all of us. Moreover, on getting a chance so soon to perform has added a new confidence unto us."
