COLLEGE APPLICATION TRAINING ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR SAT/ACT TEST PREP COURSE IN JULY AND NEW DATES FOR SAT/ACT TEST PREP COURSE IN AUGUST.

LOS ANGELES – College Application Training announced today the results of the SAT/ACT Test Prep Course held in July 2011, and the new dates for the SAT/ACT Test Prep Course to be held in August 2011, according to Managing Director, Chelsea M. Hackett.

“I’m very excited about the results from the SAT/ACT Test Prep Course that was held in July,” said Chelsea.  “On average, the students raised the scores by over 200 points each. I’m proud to have helped them get a head start on the college application process.”

The dates for the next College Application Training SAT/ACT Test Prep Course will be August 8 to August 26, 2011 in Los Angeles, California, and is open to high school seniors and rising juniors. The course will also have follow up sessions in September prior to the SAT Test scheduled for October 1, 2011.

“This SAT class was one of my greatest investments,” said student Sammy Sheff.  “My vocabulary and logic skills have improved immensely.  I have become a better test taker, and feel more confident.”

The College Application Training SAT/ACT Test Prep Course combines strategies to “beat” the test with old fashioned cram work while injecting some humor along the way.  Through targeted exercises, games and high-impact processes, students will:
• Learn how to reframe their approach to the test that will lower stress while increasing scores.
• Apply one small adjustment that will immediately improve their scores.
• Discover short-term strategies to increase scores.
• Practice longer-term strategies that will give them an advantage going into college.

College Application Training is managed by Chelsea M. Hackett, who has over 20 years experience with the college application process. She attended the University of Southern California (USC) on a merit scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a dual degree in International Relations and French. Chelsea obtained an MFA in screenwriting from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she was the recipient of various accolades including the Mary Pickford, Frank Sinatra, USC Associates and Women in Film scholarships. By combining organizational skills learned from juggling multiple scripts and productions to her SAT/ACT prep and essay coaching, Chelsea designed a program to train students to create great college applications with minimum stress and maximum individuality. Using these techniques, her students have been accepted to USC, UCLA, NYU, GWU, and Columbia University, among others.
