Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Separating the fact from the fiction when it comes to diet and weight loss is one of the most common discussions in schools and gyms - even in bars and clubs - around Aurora and S.E. Denver. Is pasta good for you? How much water should I drink? Should I use heavy weights? Anaerobic or aerobic exercise? How to train after childbirth?

It is a debate which Greg Dyer, (the Birthday Suit Tailor), an Aurora/ S.E. Denver fitness expert has been studying closely. 'Although it is great that people are taking more of an interest in their fitness and in what they eat, they would succeed far more if they knew how to train and eat properly - what I call the truth about fat loss,' he explains. 'I've lost count of the number of people who have come to me and said that, no matter what they do, they just can't shed the pounds or improve their fitness. They can, and they do. They just don't know how to.'

Greg Dyer, 43, has decided to do his bit to end the confusion and is holding a seminar at the Hampden Branch, Denver Public Library, 9755 E. Girard Ave. Denver, 80231, next week on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 6:30 pm. Although the seminar normally costs $25, it is free. However, there will be a voluntary collection (cash or check) for the charity Food Bank of the Rockies.
Food Bank of the Rockies, a non-profit organization, distributed nearly 36 million pounds of food last year through 800 partner agencies. Those agencies administer 1,100 hunger-relief programs in Northern Colorado, including Metro Denver, and the entire state of Wyoming. Of the 367,000 people served annually, nearly half are children.  Since 1978, FBR has provided 392 million pounds of food to our member agencies, which translates to more than 298 million meals for people in need. Food Bank of the Rockies’ key programs are Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope – Food Distribution, Denver’s Table Food Rescue and FBR’s Nutrition Network for children and seniors.  Food Bank of the Rockies is a member of Feeding America.  For additional information, please visit www.foodbankrockies.org.
”Without support from folks like Greg and his clients, Food Bank of the Rockies would not be able to fight hunger and feed hope for our neighbors in need.  We’re able to provide 4 meals for every dollar donated, so we extend our deepest thanks for all those contributing to make a difference for the one out of eight Coloradans who don’t know where their next meal is coming from,”
Gwen Vogelzang, Media & PR Manager.

Greg adds: 'I find a lot of people are confused by all the nutrition and exercise advice out there. This seminar will help them work out the good from the bad and also help to bust a few myths. The seminar is on a first-come first-served basis. You’ll go home with an actual action plan on how to get amazing weight loss results which are sustainable long-term - and you’ll have done your bit for a brilliant charity.’

The charity fitness and fat loss seminar will be held at the Hampden Branch, Denver Public Library, Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 pm. 9755 E. Girard Ave. Denver, 80231.
