Football loos makeover competition kicks-off

Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- ONE lucky football club is about to secure a £100,000 makeover for its fans’ loos from some of the plumbing industry’s leading companies.

The Best Loo-sers competition will bring much-needed investment at a critical time for clubs. Clubs in the Premier League, Football League or The Conference can win this fabulous prize.

A dedicated website www.bestloosers.co.uk goes live on August 1 and clubs will have eight weeks to nominate themselves. Twelve clubs will then be shortlisted and a fans’ vote will determine the winner.

The competition is the inspiration of Plumb Center, which has more than 490 branches in the UK. It has joined forces with leading companies: Cistermiser, Cubicle Systems, Twyford and Franke Sissons.

These companies have a lot of experience in delivering stadia fit for the 21 century; including Twickenham, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and the b2net stadium in Chesterfield. Hygiene, water conservation plus adequate facilities for children and the disabled are hallmarks of their work.

Clubs have done a huge amount of work improving the image of the game. They want safe and hygienic facilities so the whole family feels welcome and comfortable. The mission is to transform toilets beyond all recognition and consigned out-of-date washrooms to history.

The winning club will also be invited to nominate a grass roots’ team from their local community to receive a £1,000 washroom makeover.

“Loos might not be your top priority when you’re at a match but poor facilities can really spoil your day. How many times have you missed that all important goal because you’re stuck in a queue? Modern, efficient loos are not only better for the environment but get you back to the match in double-quick time,” he added.
