Classes offered range from CPR to professional housekeeper training.

Erin Krex, First Class Care founder and president, launched First Class Care Academy to help job seekers boost their credentials for top-paying positions and to meet the needs of families who would like their domestic employees to acquire new skills. “When faced with the need for additional household services, most families prefer to retain a valued employee rather than hire more staff,” says Krex. “Until now, there wasn’t a local resource for training in household management.”

“Sometimes families ask their nanny to take on meal preparation responsibilities, for example, but find the nanny’s cooking skills inadequate to the task,” explains Krex. “Now we can offer families the option of sending their nanny to classes taught by a qualified culinary pro, with instruction adapted specifically for domestic employees.”
