Born in North Carolina, Bobby, his brothers and sister were raised in an environment that fostered success. The family transplanted to Michigan to become part of the American dream in the Automobile Industry. After great success there, Bobby's father, Robert moved the the Williams "bunch" to Nashville where they purchased a car dealership. Under the leadership of Mr. Williams the Bob WIlliams LIncoln Mecury dealership located on Gallatin Road in Madison, TN, became a well known respected brand in Nashville.
Winning sales awards and the respect of the community the Williams dealerships began to expand into other towns creating a Model of success through hard work, quality employee's, and great customer satisfaction. Then one day their world came crashing down around them with sudden sad news. Mr. Williams, A man in his prime, healthy, certainly a hard working man and patriarch of the family had died of of a heart attack. Bobby was left to carry the torch with no warning at all but promised his father that he would "do his best to carry on the family tradition" as he held his hand and then said "Goodbye".
So at the age of thirty four the responsibility of the dealership fell on Bobby's shoulders. He had to take the helm of the family business that had been so successful for many years and try to move it to the next level knowing that failure was not an option. Implementing the principles that he was taught all his life, Bobby did take the dealership to even greater heights of success. Meanwhile, the stress of the multi-million dollar business, those 85 hour work weeks and being told that second generation dealerships rarely succeed, he started feeling the pressure. The Family business was doing very well, however fear began to drive Bobby's life, "Faith had taken a backseat" and things only got worse. Stress and deep insecurity caused health concerns such as panic attacks and bouts of anxiety which took Bobby to the edge emotionally time and time again. It was during these 'manic moments' that his prayer life was born out of necessity as he started praying what he describes as "Crises Prayers" and those prayers began to work. Many changes would come in the next few years testing his commitment to God but he stood firm in his Faith. Now, many years later Bobby Williams is living proof that even in the the most difficult of life's challenges that God always has a plan, not just for survival but success.
