Nicholson Volunteer Fire Company to hold Annual Car Show

Aug. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Nicholson, PA—August 1, 2011—On Sunday August 7th, 2011 the Nicholson Volunteer Fire Company is holding their annual car show at the Nicholson Carnival Grounds on Park Street, just off Route 92 in Nicholson, PA.  Registration for vehicles will begin at 8:30 in the morning with gate opening to the public at 11AM.  The first 150 automobiles will be given dash plaques.  Classic and Antique cars are welcome as well as trucks, tractors, fire engines, off-road vehicles and hot rods.  Trophies are given in a variety of categories.  The People’s Choice (Show Car Owners) judging begins at 3PM.  
The day also includes vendors offering car related merchandise, crafts and other products with a DJ playing music throughout the day.  The Fire Company will be serving food including breakfast as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and specialty items.  
In the past the show has included motorcycles, big rigs and many sports cars--the Fire Company hopes to have the same vehicles return and to see many new vehicles. The Nicholson Fire Company should have their own classic fire engine on display.
