Michael Evans Opens EVANS Group Financial Advisors LLC in Cheshire, Connecticut

Aug. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Michael Evans, a prominent business, community and political leader in Cheshire, CT, hosted two grand opening celebrations for the launch of EVANS Group Financial Advisors, LLC. Over 100 guests were welcomed by Michael and his wife, Mary Evans, Office Manager of their new firm, during two recent celebratory events. EVANS Group Financial Advisors, located in newly-renovated offices at 1120 South Main Street in Cheshire, is a full service investment and insurance brokerage company. “Having been a financial advisor and community leader in Cheshire for the past 19 years,” commented Michael Evans, “it is with significant pleasure and satisfaction that I have opened my own financial consulting firm in my hometown of Cheshire.” Evans plans on running for Cheshire Town Council and he is in the process of forming the new independent CHESHIRE Party which will compete in the November 8, 2011 election.

Michael Evans is a former Financial Advisor with NEi Financial in Cheshire, and he remains affiliated with his national brokerage firm, Hornor, Townsend and Kent, Inc. During the past six years, he has won the firm’s Peak Producer Award and Royal Blue Club Award on numerous occasions. Evans was an Investment Representative with Edward Jones Investments and he opened the firm’s Cheshire office in 2000, and achieved partnership at Edward Jones in 2003.  For seven years, he was a Financial Consultant with Fleet Investments in Cheshire. Evans passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in 1985 after studying at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland in the spring of 1983, and after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Providence College in 1984.

Well-known in the Cheshire community, Michael Evans has been a member and past Vice Chairperson of the Town of Cheshire Retirement Board since 2007. Since 2001 he has been a member, and past Chairperson of the Cheshire School to Business Partnership. Evans has been a member of the Cheshire Rotary Club since 2000; he is Chairperson of the Rotary Club’s Unsung Student Award program and he is also an Officer and Director of the organization. Evans has been President of Referral Net of Cheshire, a local business networking group, since 2000. In addition, he is past Director of the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, the Cheshire Education Foundation; and the Cheshire Thomas Brooks Little League. Recently, he resigned as Treasurer of the Cheshire Democratic Town Committee.
